Exhibitions

Curated by Calcutta Arts Club in conjunction with River Gallery, five of Myanmar's leading contemporary artists are being showcased in an exhibition which will visit several Indian cities in the next six months.  The five artists embrace different styles and subjects, ranging from the simple, sumptuous line drawings of Aung Myint's First Love series, through to the vibrant semi-abstract landscapes of Zaw Win Pe and Than Kyaw Htay.  K. Kyaw mixes photorealistic depictions of people with media collages, and Maung Aw's masterly compositions of Myanmar woman and children complete the show.
