We are thrilled to announce the opening of new gallery space in 38th street, right next door to The Strand. The new gallery is located in the ground floor of the Chindwin Chambers, a gracious colonial building dating from the 1930s. The original River at the Strand will remain open, but River II is just three minutes walk away, it is easy for guests to stroll between the two.
The opening featured a Solo Show by Artist Aung Ko, one of Myanmar's most creative talents. His sculptures, paintings, photos and Video were previewd in Yangon, before heading to Milan for his Solo Exhibition in the Primo Maella Gallery. In the gallery's second room, we showed large scale works by selected Riverartists.
